We are happy that Florida has finally made it onto the radar of the Michelin guide, as we believe it was unduly neglected. But fortunately, the year 2022 came with the good news of a brand new Florida Michelin guide. And as you may have probably already guessed, the best high-class restaurants are located in Miami.
That’s why we wanted to make a list of all the Michelin star restaurants in Miami, so you can easily navigate and plan your outings.
There are many high-class restaurants in the new Michelin guide for Miami, and we know you will love them. Maybe you won’t be able to go to every one of them, but try to visit at least a few from our Michelin guide Miami list.
In total, 15 restaurants in Florida were awarded Michelin stars, and 11 are in Miami. We will talk about some of the Miami ones so you can decide which one you would love to visit. And we must mention that it will be challenging to decide where to dine, as all of them are top class.
Of the 15 restaurants, only one has a two-star rating, and the rest have one star. However, the one star rating shouldn’t fool you, as the places are some of the best in the world. The incredible food, the atmosphere, service, and overall experience will prove that.
It’s only fair to start with the restaurant with two Michelin star ratings and continue with the rest of these fine dining establishments.
If you have ever heard about Chef Joël Robuchon, you are probably aware of how important a figure he was in the culinary world. Joël managed to build his fine-dining empire, conquer the whole world and earn 32 Michelin stars in his career. A few years ago, Robuchon passed away, but he left behind his legacy. L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon is a high-class restaurant run by a culinary team of Joël’s protégées that decided to continue the legacy.
This restaurant is crème de la crème in the culinary world, and you’ll have an overall fabulous experience here. The food is out of this world, and the tasting menus are meticulously made to perfection. The atmosphere is unique, and the red and black modern interior will leave you speechless.
Located in the South of Fifth, this modern place is one of Miami’s best Michelin star restaurants. And what’s interesting is that it’s one of the newer places on the culinary map of Miami, and it’s already known as one of the finest.
Bravo’s Top Chef Season 13’s winner, Chef Jeremy Ford, manages to make simple American food look and taste extraordinary. His passion is taking simple ingredients, elevating them, and making delicate dishes. The best way to enjoy the food served here is to order Chef’s Tasting Menu, available from Sundays to Thursdays. Chef Ford gives his whole heart to preparing this menu, and it’s the perfect way to experience the true essence of Stubborn Seed. You must try the Hudson Valley Foie Gras Torchon and Cacio e Pepe Cheesy Puff and the Westholme Ranch Wagyu or Charred Local Day Boat for the main course Swordfish if you are craving fish. But you’ll not be disappointed with whatever you choose from their a la carte menu. And let us not forget about their cocktail menu that features some of the best classical cocktails but with a James Ford twist. Beetlejuice and Blue Sage Shoes are our top picks.
Another beautiful thing about this specific place is that you will feel like you belong here. The atmosphere is far from stiffened and homier than any other high-class restaurant.
It’s not strange that Cote Miami managed to get a Michelin star as it already has one for its New York establishment. Located in the Design District, this Korean steakhouse will blow your mind with its interior, wild décor, impeccable service, and almost theater-like way of preparing food for guests. And when it comes to food, it’s absolutely divine and everything you would want from a Korean BBQ-styled feast.
If you have never visited this place, you should order the Butcher’s Feast for a chance to try their best items. And don’t forget to order a cocktail alongside because everything is better with a perfectly crafted drink in your hand.
Who doesn’t love an omakase-style dining experience? We certainly enjoy a good one, and if you are looking for one in the Michelin guide Miami, The Den at Azabu is the place to visit. The experience you’ll get here can’t be compared to anything else you’ve had in your life and probably to anything you’ll experience in the future.
Chef Atsushi Okawara is well known for his top-notch execution of omakase-style dishes. If you are craving some juicy and fatty tuna, this is the place you will find it.
Before we talk about the food at Boia De, we need to talk about the fantastic story behind this place that made its way to the Michelin guide Miami. Chefs Luciana Giangrandi and Alex Meyer worked as chefs in many fine restaurants, and one day they decided to open their food truck. The simple food truck was far from naïve, and people loved everything they offered, so they had to go bigger and open their own restaurant. It almost sounds like a fairytale, from a food truck to a high-class restaurant.
The food also tastes like it’s from a fairytale. And you will agree with us once you try their Baked Clams or Saffron Tagliatelle ala Vongole.
Another omakase-styled restaurant had to make our list as it’s one of the most unique places you’ll ever visit. This place is so popular, and it’s almost impossible to get a reservation. However, you should always be optimistic. Besides the food, the best thing about this place is its hidden location. To find the restaurant, you must go through a secret door in the back of a taco stand.
And when it comes to the food, if you get the reservation, you will enjoy a specially created tasting menu that changes seasonally and uses only the best and freshest ingredients. The high price is definitely worth it.
Now that you know the best places in town, where will you go first? Whatever place you choose, you will not be disappointed, and you will have the time of your life. Just be sure that you call and book your reservation before visiting, as all these restaurants are super busy, especially now that they have been awarded these prestigious stars.
